From City to Soil: How I Turned My Burnout into Blooms!

Hello! I'm Lizianne, better known as Lili, a former marketing director for large organizations in Montreal.

After experiencing burnout due to a frantic pace at work, a father in a coma for 1 year, and the loss of a child, my body and mind faltered. I was completely exhausted & disconnected from my emotions, my hormones, my needs, my dreams.

After a lot of personal work towards my healing, I decided to make a radical change of direction: I sold my condo in the city, I resigned to everyone's surprise, and I chose to follow my heart and go live with my charming dairy farmer boyfriend I met on Tinder (Yes, really!). I wanted to create happiness – for me, that happiness is flowers. For me, they are a perfect representation of the ephemeral, the beauty, and the fragility of life.

I decided to invest my time, energy, learning, and money to start a floral farm. I had never done agriculture in my life, but I know how to sell, I love marketing, challenges, projects, creating, and most of all, people!!! I built a wellness team around me: psychologist, personal coach, professional coach, yoga, meditation, Jin Shin Do, reading, friends, but most importantly, I spoke up and took action to build a life that suited me.

This is how La Pivoinerie Lili was born, where I now cultivate 4 acres of flowers with a simple but powerful mission: to sow happiness, literally and metaphorically.

At La Pivoinerie Lili, I don't just grow flowers, I create extraordinary experiences. Every year, from May to September, I welcome visitors from all over to pick their own bouquets of flowers and reconnect with their true nature and essence. It's a place where you can truly find inner peace amidst the colorful petals, fields, and the gentle countryside.

But my passion and the floral adventure don't stop there!

To extend this commitment to well-being and natural beauty, I lovingly developed an exclusive line of cosmetic products based on the flowers from my farm. These products capture the purity and gentleness of our floral oasis, bringing softness, comfort, and well-being to our customers. Today, they are available in over 50 points of sale, inviting everyone to discover the magic of flowers and peonies through our creations.

My journey is one of deep personal and professional transformation, where I found true satisfaction by reconnecting people to the simple and natural beauty around us.

I now support entrepreneurs from all business sectors, particularly in agriculture, with their marketing and communication strategies to help them also create a life that suits them, where people can grow and thrive through their own businesses. Here is my marketing consulting business website.
